With time a painting’s paint layer can crack, the primer or substrate can also crack, causing the paint to loosen or simply flake and fall off the painting. Paintings become brittle as they age, they are delicate, so they can be ripped or punctured with handling. We can restore an aging painting to sound structural condition and restore its color and aesthetic quality.
